Who We Are

Tunnel Snake is an independent browser game developed and operated by Darood Sandstrom. You can reach us at gamedev@tunnelsnake.io.

What Data We Collect

We collect the minimum necessary to provide leaderboard and tournament features.

If you choose to submit a score to the leaderboard:

• Your chosen display handle (nickname) — set by you, not linked to any account
• Your score, game time, snake length, theme, and game mode
• The map seed used in your run
• Your platform (desktop or mobile — detected automatically)
• The timestamp of your submission

Automatically collected (all players):

• None — we do not collect IP addresses, cookies, or tracking identifiers

Stored locally on your device only:

• Your handle, selected skin, and game settings (via browser localStorage)
• Your personal best scores and play statistics
• Your Rewind Token balance
• Unlocked skin progress

This data never leaves your device unless you choose to submit a leaderboard score.

How We Use Your Data

• To display your score on the public leaderboard
• To run tournaments and determine winners
• To detect and flag statistically implausible scores (anti-cheat)

We do not use your data for advertising, profiling, or any purpose other than running the game.

Where Data Is Stored

Leaderboard scores are stored in Supabase, a cloud database service. Supabase stores data on servers in the United States. By submitting a score you consent to your handle and score data being stored there.

Who Can See Your Data

Leaderboard scores — including your handle and score — are publicly visible to all players. Do not use your real name or any personally identifying information as your handle.

We do not share your data with any third parties for commercial purposes.

Your Rights (GDPR & Similar)

If you are located in the European Economic Area, UK, or other regions with data protection laws, you have the right to:

• Request deletion of any scores submitted under your handle
• Request a copy of data we hold associated with your handle
• Correct inaccurate data

To exercise any of these rights, email us at gamedev@tunnelsnake.io with your handle and request. We will respond within 30 days.

Children

Tunnel Snake is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13. If you believe a child has submitted data to our leaderboard, contact us at gamedev@tunnelsnake.io and we will remove it promptly.

Feedback Form

If you submit feedback through our in-game feedback form, your message is processed by Netlify and forwarded to our email. We use this solely to improve the game. Netlify's privacy policy is available at netlify.com/privacy.

No Advertising

Tunnel Snake does not display third-party advertisements and does not use advertising networks or tracking pixels. If the game is embedded on third-party platforms (such as CrazyGames), those platforms may have their own advertising policies which apply to their environment.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy as the game grows. The date at the top of this page reflects the most recent update. Continued use of the game after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
