The Game

Tunnel Snake is a free browser game developed and operated by Darood Sandstrom ("we", "us", "our"). The game is accessible at tunnelsnake.io and through authorized third-party platforms.

You may play the game for free without creating an account. A display handle is optional and only required for leaderboard participation.

Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Cheat, exploit bugs, or use any method to submit scores that were not achieved through legitimate gameplay
• Use automated tools, bots, or scripts to play the game or submit scores
• Choose a display handle that is offensive, abusive, hateful, or impersonates another person
• Attempt to disrupt, overload, or compromise the leaderboard or game servers
• Reverse-engineer, copy, or redistribute the game without permission

We reserve the right to remove scores and ban handles that violate these rules without notice.

Leaderboard & Scores

Leaderboard scores are publicly visible. By submitting a score you confirm it was achieved through legitimate gameplay.

We use automated anomaly detection to flag implausible scores. Flagged scores may be hidden from public leaderboards pending review. If you believe your score was flagged in error, contact us at gamedev@tunnelsnake.io.

We reserve the right to remove any score from the leaderboard at our discretion, including scores that appear to have been achieved through exploits or technical errors.

Tournaments

Tournaments are time-limited competitive events with specific rules set at the time of the tournament. By entering a tournament you agree to the specific rules of that tournament.

• Tournament runs must be completed without the use of Rewind Tokens
• One entry per player per tournament (determined by handle)
• Prizes, if offered, are distributed at our discretion following score verification
• We reserve the right to disqualify entries that violate tournament rules
• Tournament results are final once announced

Rewind Tokens

Rewind Tokens are a gameplay feature stored locally on your device. They have no monetary value and cannot be transferred, sold, or exchanged. We reserve the right to modify the Rewind Token system at any time.

Intellectual Property

Tunnel Snake, including the name, characters (Jax/Rip), game design, artwork, code, and all associated content, is the intellectual property of Darood Sandstrom. All rights reserved.

You may share screenshots and recordings of your gameplay on social media and streaming platforms. You may not redistribute the game, sell it, or present it as your own work.

Third-Party Platforms

Tunnel Snake may be embedded on third-party gaming platforms. When playing on those platforms, their terms of service and privacy policies also apply. We are not responsible for the policies or conduct of third-party platforms.

Disclaimers

Tunnel Snake is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind. We make no guarantees regarding uptime, data retention, or continued availability of any feature including leaderboards, tournaments, or Rewind Tokens.

We are not liable for any loss of game progress, scores, or tokens resulting from technical issues, browser clearing, or service interruptions.

Changes to These Terms

We may update these terms as the game evolves. The date at the top reflects the most recent update. Continued use of the game constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.

Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Alberta, Canada, without regard to conflict of law principles.
